School Employees use YSM
Assistant Superintendent for Support Services
Don Perkins has a problem. Wickersham High School gets the same support from the District as Pleasantville High, but there are consistently more disciplinary incidents at Wickersham, and the gap is widening every year.

Comparing the high schools in the Youth Services Map confirms more kids at Wickersham are enrolled in programs, and that the types of programs available are equivalent. Where does the difference come from? A broader look, across all schools in the area, gives Don an idea.

There are significantly fewer support services at Crittenden Middle School; fewer agencies, with narrower offerings (there is a notable lack of services which promote connection and engagement). Crittenden feeds Wickersham, so the long term trends at Wickersham may be driven by what is happening (or not happening, in this case) at Crittenden! Any effort to address the immediate issue at Wickersham High School ought to include encouragement for support organizations to expand into Crittenden Middle School.
